Recent studies show that the majority of A / C operating in the U.S. are or are overcharged. This causes reduced performance, and sometimes, premature compressor failure. The Fieldpiece superheat and subcool accessory for air conditioning, model ASX14, measures the suction line or low side, line temperature and pressure.
It then calculates the actual superheat in real time using built-in P charts / T. It also measures the liquid line, or the high side, line temperature and pressure, and calculates the actual subcooling. Use to achieve true superheat on fixed orifice R-22 and R-410A systems and true subcooling on TXV adjustable systems / TEV. Use the “T” fitting for charging at actual superheat or subcooling by placing the ASX14 in series between the refrigerant cylinder and the system.
Designed for HVACR professionals, the ASX14, measures refrigerant pressure and temperature and calculates superheat for two refrigerants in English or metric units.
